Asin is certainly making the most of 'Housefull 2', for the pretty lass from down south is busy making thick friends on the sets of her latest flick, reported the website Spicezee.
Not too long ago, we had told you that John Abraham and Asin have turned good friends after they spent good time working together in Sajid Khan's sequel to his romcom 'Housefull', the report said, adding that now, Asin is all praises for her co-star Akshay Kumar. While talking to a leading daily, the actress went ga-ga over the hunk and said, “Akshay Kumar is the sexiest actor I have worked with. Shooting with him is loads of fun because he keeps you on your toes all the time.”
Explaning what she likes the most about Akshay, Asin said, “I love his straight-faced sense of humor. He acts so innocent that you really don`t expect him to play any prank on you. He is a prankster. You have to be really careful about your phone when he is around, he`ll just whisk it away and do crazy stuff.” Asin finds Akshay highly inspiring as he is much disciplined.
“Akshay is an early morning person and so am I. He is a very disciplined and professional actor. He has a particular time to go to bed. He gets up early in the morning and reports to work on time. He wraps up on time... There`s much to learn from him,” said the actress. Asin does have all the Bollywood biggies by her side. Great going girl! Asin don't want to emulate Sridevi Asin seems to be enjoying her Bollywood stint to the core. The actor, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her next film in B-town, Housefull 2, opposite Akshay Kumar says that she had great fun being part of the multi-starrer. "I play Rishi Kapoor's daughter in the film, who lives in London. It was fun working with Akshay, who was a wonderful co-star," says the actor.
The latest buzz in K-town is that the actor, who seems to have put Kollywood on the backburner, has been approached by none other than director Shankar for his next. So is the news true? "I did meet him at the Filmfare Awards and we sat next to each other. That must have resulted in these rumours," says says Asin. But was she approached for the film? "You will have to ask Shankar sir about that," is all she says.
Is Asin planning to emulate the path of the other successful actors like Sridevi, Rekha and the likes? "I don't have anything planned like that in mind. Sridevi is a wonderful actor and she is my neighbour too. I don't want to emulate her as she has carved a niche for herself. I would like to have a different image."
Asin 'Ready' to follow Vidya's 'Kahaani'! First ISHQIYA, then NO ONE KILLED JESSICA followed by THE DIRTY PICTURE and now KAHAANI. Vidya's heroine oriented, author backed roles are bound to be a cause of envy to the top most heroines of Bollywood and also those who are aspiring to make it big. Trade and media alike are hailing Vidya Balan as the fourth Khan, some are even comparing her to Aamir Khan, as far as experimenting with her roles and her resounding success is concerned.
However, there are quite a few heroines in the industry who are confident of delivering hits without the support of any frontline actor like in the case of Vidya Balan's KAHAANI. In the past there have been actresses who have delivered hits and have carried a film on their own shoulders. The recent most example (prior to KAHAANI) that one remembers is FASHION where Priyanka Chopra single handedly maneuvered the film to a hit status with an award winning performance. The director in question was Madhur Bhandarkar, and one is hoping he can do an encore with Kareena Kapoor in HEROINE as well.
It's just not Kareena who is confident of delivering a hit without the support of any major star. In line is the south sensation, Asin, who is pretty confident of carrying a film on her own shoulders. While interacting with the fourth estate during the promotion of her latest film HOUSEFULL 2, Asin declared, "If I can get a film with a great script and good role there is no doubt that I can make a film a hit even without the support of any popular hero/star. Times have changed and the public is willing to accept more. They are more concerned with content, and even though star studded films will always remain a favourite but the audience is also willing to watch movies with a good story, where heroines have powerful author backed roles."
Asin also added, "I don't want to be type cast, and I don't want to do films where actresses are mere showpieces. I don't believe in skin show and I am uncomfortable doing lovemaking scenes. However I do multi-starrers like HOUSEFULL 2 because I get a chance to interact with a lot of actors and actresses and get to learn a lot from them and their style of functioning."
With the hype around her latest film HOUSEFULL 2 gaining momentum with each passing day we can safely say that Asin is ready to complete her hattrick of centuries after GHAJINI and READY.
